Sides has developed a comprehensive range, based on more than 40 years of experience in designing civil defence vehicles. Our vehicles feature on-board firefighting components. These high-performance, reliable components are the foundation of Sides’ reputation.

Our civil defence range features three main types of vehicle:

• urban vehicles : designed for response needs in urban housing and buildings, with comprehensive on-board equipment capabilities
• rural vehicles : designed for deployment both on roads and in all-terrain environments, with some of our vehicles suited to narrow, steep village alleyways
• forest fire vehicles : designed for fast response capability in challenging, all-terrain environments, and providing a safe environment for response personnel in high-risk locations

Fast response is critical to the success of firefighting. Sides has developed a range of emergency response and support vehicles designed to attend the scene of a disaster in record time.

As well as acting as reconnaissance vehicles, they can also be fitted with on-board firefighting equipment, such as tanks, pumps and monitors. They are also able to respond to minor incidents alone, or act as front-line or additional response vehicles as part of a highly efficient response system.

The Sides emergency range comprises a series of vehicles suited to a wide range of situations, locations and countries. Our vehicles are multi-purpose, offering firefighting, emergency rescue and, optionally, lifting and handling capability.

• firefighting capability : these vehicles feature our own on-board components, guaranteeing exceptional performance and reliability.
• emergency rescue capability : our engineers have worked with firefighters, emergency rescue workers and medical professionals. Our highly functional vehicles are able to carry the latest-generation first aid and patient transport equipment.
• lifting and handling : our emergency vehicles are capable of carrying an on-board crane, enabling the crew to move objects to make an area safe or work at height in total safety.
