Product Description
The Micro-K is a chemical oxygen device designed for evacuation while forest fires. Used since many yars, Micro-K is adopted by fire-fighting brigades from all over the world. It was used during numerous mission Under real conditions. It permits to quickly evacuate in case of danger thanks to its clever design which ensure an extremely rapid set up of the device and a full respiratory protection against the risks inherent with forest fires. (fume toxicity, respiratory tract burning, presence of CO, anoxia…)
The Micro-K is a single-use apparatus, functioning with potassium superoxyde (KO) : when in contact with moist and carbonic gas contained into the exhaled air by the holder, the KO releases oxygen and absorbs CO2 . At its opening, it generates enough oxygen to ensure a minimal autonomy of 6 minutes (depending on conditions : breathing rate, level of effort…).
